About CLET

Welcome to the Centre for Land-based Enterprise and Technology (CLET) at BCA.

The Centre provides education and training in modern land-based subjects, in a welcoming and inclusive environment.  Whether you are already working in the sector and want to stay ahead of the game, or whether you would like to learn a new rural skill, we can help.

CLET is situated on a picturesque rural campus near Maidenhead in the Thames Valley, near the stunning Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  The thriving equine industries of Berkshire are on the doorstep, and being located just 40 minutes from London, the Centre is uniquely placed to combine modern thinking with traditional skills.

The campus and estate offer a range of resources including extensive equine facilities, a farm, a licensed zoo including rare British wildlife, floristry studios and an historic mansion house with landscaped grounds.

As a hub for knowledge and skills exchange, CLET aims to draw links and partnerships with other land-based universities, manufacturers, research bodies and organisations in the Thames Valley to ensure young people, enthusiasts, and industry professionals have the right skills demanded by today’s modern land-based industries.

It is the place for professionals and enthusiasts, whether experienced or just starting out, to join with industry in learning, sharing ideas and preparing for bright futures in the land based sector.
